What Does Counseling Cost?
How Much Does Counseling Cost?
Investing in yourself, your career, your relationship, or your family is a commitment to your future, and we’re here to ensure you get results without wasting time. Here’s what working with us looks like:
Focused, Efficient Sessions: We start with an intake session ($150) to discuss your needs and goals. After that, we’ll meet weekly for 50-minute sessions ($130) or 90-minute sessions ($175 each) until you’re where you want to be. We do offer a sliding scale through open path collective https://openpathcollective.org/clinicians/deborah-russell/
Flexible Scheduling for Your Busy Life: We offer evening, early morning, and Saturday appointments to fit your schedule. Can’t keep the same time each week? No problem. You’ll also get automatic reminders, so you never miss an appointment.
Between-Session Support: We’re available for quick messaging check-ins between appointments because we know that growth happens between sessions, too.
Insurance and Payment Options
We are considered an out-of-network provider, so all services are paid out-of-pocket at the time of service. Although many insurance plans cover individual sessions, most don’t cover couples counseling, but some clients file for partial reimbursement with their insurance. If that’s an option you’d like to explore, I’m happy to provide a Superbill to you for out-of-network claims.
HSA or FSA accounts can often cover counseling costs, though verifying with your provider is best. Some clients have also deducted therapy expenses as medical expenses—check with your tax advisor to see if you qualify.
